The Federal Government has said it will sack any educator found in classrooms without the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria's (TRCN) declaration and permit before the finish of this current year.
Clergyman of State for Education Prof. Anthony Anwukah said this at the lady acceptance service for educators in Imo State University.
Anwukah, who was the director of the event, said in an announcement issued in Abuja yesterday by Head of Information at TRCN, Ojewuyi Muyiwa, that there would be no backpedaling on the two-year due date given to educators to enroll with the body.
He encouraged educators, who were yet to enroll with committee to do as such to abstain from being sacked.
The Registrar/Chief Executive of the gathering, Prof. Josiah Ajiboye, asked educators not to undermine polished skill.
He said the TRCN would soon reintroduce the Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE), which would fill in as a noteworthy essential for permission into the instructing calling.
Ajiboye stated: "There is no backpedaling on TRCN polished methodology drive the nation over; henceforth the board would soon reintroduce the Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE), which would fill in as a noteworthy essential for permission into the showing calling in Nigeria."He added that the elegance given to instructors to acquire their endorsements from the TRCN would soon be over.
On her part, the college's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Victoria Obasi, hailed the endeavors of chamber in repositioning the instructing calling.
She noticed that TRCN had turned into an impressive drive to figure with in instructors' training the nation over and the world over.
